We had an amazing week with Paula, a pretty hectic week also, to be sincere. The thing is, when you have people visiting you always end up going back to the same touristic and so-called-must-see spots to get the same frustration faces after discovering what the Walk of Fame is really like, with the resulting: I told you… It really is like an endless loop.
Paula, who is a little bit like a tornado and a natural-born multitasking can perfectly link one activity after another as if the world would end tomorrow although, very luckily, the plan with her always seems kind of alternative, to say the least: a day trip to Silver Lake, recently ranked -by Forbes magazine- like the hippest hipster neighborhood in the US, a 70’s architecture route, brave incursions in swells that -from my very beginner level- looked like the final scene in Point Break or frenzied dancing sessions at Swallow’s Inn.
Between one thing and the other, I discovered lots of cool places -like this Cerveteca I was talking about last week- that I didn’t know and that I am really looking forward to tell you about!

Hemos tenido una semana genial con la visita de Paula, una semana bastante movida, también es cierto. El tema es que siempre que hay visitas uno acaba volviendo una y otra vez a todos los destinos turísticos por excelencia y viendo la misma cara de decepción cada vez que alguien pisa el dichoso Paseo de la Fama, pronunciando el consiguiente: Te lo dije… Es como en un bucle infinito, lo prometo.
Paula, que es como un poco terremoto y multitasking por naturaleza te encadena las actividades como si no hubiera mañana aunque, afortunadamente, la hoja de ruta con ella siempre resulta, como poco, alternativa; una excursión a Silver Lake, recién bautizado -por la revista Forbes- como el barrio más hipster de Estados Unidos, una ruta de arquitectura setentera, intrépidas incursiones en oleajes que -desde mi nivel very beginner- vienen a parecer del calibre de la escena final de Le llaman Bodhi o desenfrenadas sesiones de baile en Swallow’s Inn.
Entre una cosa y la otra, además, he descubierto un montón de sitios fantásticos -como Cerveteca, del que hablaba la semana pasada- que no conocía ¡y que estoy deseando enseñaros!
